Hey everyone so i finally finished installing a 20g turbo into my gst, i also added a fmic . it runs good except when i come out of boost (stepping on it) the car wants to die and sometimes it does die, sometimes when i am cruising on the free way i feel it stuttering, i just dont know what it is, i checked for leaks and dont have any, engine light came on and i got this, any advice will be appreciated!

Have you done a boost leak test yet? Since you just changed a bunch of stuff it's a smart test to do after! ;) Have you checked the wg and see if it's working properly? What are you tuning with? What fuel mods did you do? What's base fuel pressure? When's the last time you changed the spark plugs? What are they gapped at?

[QUOTE="Dsmkauai,
i have not, someone told me i should connect it to a vacuum line, right now i have the WG to the selonoid like the stock turbo.. no tuning yet i was told i wouldnt need on??? and no fuel mods, spark plugs i am checking today and have already ordered some bpr6es ngks

Try running it without the solinoid but leave it plugged in. Run the vac line from comp nipple to wg and use a mbc and keep the boost as low as you can for now! Also clear the code first if you can. So your running a 20g and have no tuning or fuel mods!? Who lied to you about not needing them? Even running lower boost it flows more air. So you need a way to compensate and you also need more fuel to even make a 20g come alive and make sense to have. Have you tried to get into boost? What happens? Is your bov recircualted propely?

this will never go anywhere LOL

Your probably hitting fuel cut, running lean and destroying your engine.

Get link, wideband, intake, exhuast, injectors, fuel pump, afpr, then MAYBE you can use the 20g...

[QUOTE="Dsmkauai,
Im not sure what tou mean by comp nipple? And mbc?? Sorry im new to all this.. It goes into boost fine and cuts off at 5500-6000 rpm

[QUOTE="Chumpaumpalumpa, yea i am ordering a 255 today what else would for it ? And il check the fuel filter today as well

as asked already....

IS YOU BLOW OFF VALVE RECIRCULATED?

As in if it is an aftermarket one do you have it going back into the intake pipe or into the air. It needs to go back into the intake. If you have the stock 2g bov, well thats garbage too.

Why don't you make a list of what has been done to your car so people MIGHT help you, but I feel there is no help.

You need a relay to get a direct power wire to fuel pump, look up pump rewire its very easy.

You need a manual boost control, adjustable fuel regulator, bigger injectors, wideband o2, intake, exhuast

AND SOME WAY TO TUNE!

[QUOTE="KPalmer, i checked them last night they were fine i. Checked gap and was set to .28-.30. They are bpr6es and To be safe i ordered another set

No my bov is not recirculated.. It goes to the air, i have a aftermarket exhaust that it came with, intake fmic and well the 20g turbo, as for the pump does it come with the kit or do i buy seperate?.. I am odering a walbro 255 right now.. What kind of fuel presssure should i get?

That is probably why it runs bad when you come out of boost , you need to recirculate the BOV.

Mine was vented to atmosphere when I first bought it. It ran awful, stuttering and wanting to shut off all the time. It also threw a tps sensor code. As soon as I recirculated it, reset the code, the car ran great and gas mileage improved a little. Unless you have supporting mods, definitely recirculate.

Update: fixed. Stupid loose connection on top of furthest injector to the left (passenger side) but thanks to u guys i orderd a afpr and walbro 255 :)

It still needs to be recirculated back to the intake. It's the way these engines are designed. You're going to do more damage to it, if you don't.
