Well its been a long time since i've been on here, and needless to say its still a bad ass site.

Well heres the deal. My best friend is serving our country right now, and he gave us the keys to his car, a 1998 eclipse gs-t 5speed. Its a beautiful car and deverses to be treated right. While he's gone, our car group (disiac racing) has decide to do an overhaul on his car for him. FREE. This is what we are doing and we need alittle help by some dsm guys.

-K&N intake
-Full 3'' turbo back
-external dump o2 housing
-ported 14b turbo swap from the t-25
-2g install kit
-intercooler piping
-greddy type-s
-porting 2g manifold
-560cc evo injectors
-Safc-II
-Greddy Profec B boost controller
-Aeromotive fuel pressure regulator
-energy suspension engine and tranny mounts
-and all monitoring guages possibly a quaife if funds allow

We are doing all the installation ourselves and were trying to think if there was anything we forgot. Also, I'm not too familair with the SAFCII, I'm a mustang guy myself, and use to the SCT software. Some input would be very appreiciated, We're hoping to have this finished by the 24th of this month.

Thanks alot- Disiac Racing

1st thing...you guys are awsome for doing this and he will really appreciate this! 2nd, injectors and SAFC really arn't needed for such a small turbo. Consider an ACT2600 clutch and Walbro 255lph fuelpump instead. If you guys do decide to go with a fuel system, don't forget the pump.

Thanks guys keep it coming! I know the 550cc's aren't really neccisary, but the plan is to have a high (19psi) and low(12psi) boost settings and tune... i just want to make sure its safe and get him started in a path that'd allow him to change his turbo setup in the future if he wants. also, should i look into getting this dyno tuned? I was going to take my mustang shortly to one, so i figured why not do both at the same time.

You guys should be applauded for doing such a great thing for your friend. The mod list all looks very good. A few points of interest are:

1. Eliminate the AFPR and simply install a Walbro 190 (AFPR not required).
2. Replace the external dump with a ported 2G O2 housing.
3. Invest in a good manual boost controller (Forge, Buschur).
4. A high flow 3" cat would be great if you want to stay emissions legal.
5. For the J-pipe and lower intercooler pipe, Road Race Engineering has some great pieces.

For AFC tuning, this guide from Road Race Engineering should get you started:

Good luck and please keep us posted with pictures and updates.

thanks alot, that guide from road race engineering has really helped. How well does that Blue wire mod actually work though?

I would advise against using the stock narrowband O2 reading to tune with. Having it in sight while moving fuel trims might tempt you to trust it. Grab yourself a wideband and call it a day.

Here are a few more SAFC links for general reference.
