So I just bought this 95 GSX, and I can't seem to determine a few things under the hood of this car. I apologize for the lack of knowledge, but certainly appreciate any and all input.

What turbo is this car running? Serial reads A/R48 M24 2 <WL> I think it's a T28, but not sure about that. It's connected with no boost controller...Still trying to figure that out, any ideas?

Why is it that this valve cover has no red painted lettering? Could it have been sanded off? Or did a version of the 4g63 feature non painted letters?

Why does the intake not say ECI Multi? Is this also something someone has polished off, or does it appear to be some aftermarket part?

Thanks again for your help

there's nothing wrong with the valve cover it's just not painted. That intake manifold is a stock 2g intake manifold. And that looks like to be a t25, stock turbo on a 2g.

Stock t25 turbo and its probably plumbed into the stock boost control solenoid (BCS) which controls the amount of boost it runs, typically 9-12psi.

The stock 2g VC's didn't have painted red letters, only 1g's and Galant VR4's had red lettering to my knowledge.

The intake manifold (IM) on a stock 2g didn't have anything on it either, thats a 1g manifold that said ECI Multi.

From what I can see in the picture shown it looks like it has Greddy UICP, Greddy Type S bov, and an aftermarket 710 cap. Its clean as hell for being stock though, nice find.

Thanks for all the info, this would all make sense as my experience has all been with the 1g 4g36s in the past.

Yes and impressive that gofer you noticed the transmission is freshly rebuilt from Jacks Trans in Colorado Springs.

you need more pics of your hawt car Whip!!!

the motor being so clean doesnt mean its been rebuilt...you can eat of of mine, that just takes alot of time and elbow grease.

edit-didnt see you mentioned the tranny being super clean!

Looks like all you're missing is a lower heatshield

Edit: noticed you have a z...pictures please LOL
