A couple months back I blew my motor and my turbo due to a clog in my oil supply to the turbo. The #3 rod bearing was disintegrated so I replaced all the bearings and got an undamaged NT 6bolt crank from the junkyard and just had it polished. I rebuilt the motor less than 3500 miles ago so I reused the piston rings, although I did lightly hone the cylinders when I had the pistons out to be resized due to the damaged bearing.
Initially I think I had the exhaust cam gear off a tooth and couldn't get it to start, I just fixed the cam and got it to fire on the first try, but wouldn't start. It will kind of fire up and act like its going to start, then sputter off and die after a few seconds after i kill the starter. I have good fuel and spark, but can't get the motor to do anything more than fire a few times then die. And once I got a loud pop that sounded as it was something bursting in the engine compartment, but it could have been a backfire from my testpipe echoing through because I don't have a catback hooked up right now, I didn't see anything damaged. I've double checked all the sensors and harnesses and can't find anything that is not hooked up properly, any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Figured it out, ended up being a broken wire to one of my injectors. Got it running now.
