So this is what happened:

I was changing my thermostat on my '98 GS n/t, everything was going fine until the re-assembly process. My brother was giving me a hand because it was cold out this afternoon (he knows very little about cars). I told him to put the clamps back on the pipe outlet located on the actual radiator and went inside. When I came back, he made the honest mistake of putting a pipe clamp instead of the pinch clamp on it. We removed the clamp to find the pipe completely broken and literally, in pieces. There is a little under a 1/2 inch left on the pipe, maybe less. Do i need a new radiator? Or is there a way to save it? I have very little funds. Thanks for the help guys......:banghead:

Plastic ends huh? You are kinda screwed IMO and I would go to a junk yard and pull another one or see if there is a cheap one on here you can get. If it's a metal tank where the fitting came out of, you could get a pipe welded in though.

If the radiator hose nipple is broke off yes I would suggest a new radiator.
You *might* be able to get the hose on the remaining 1/2" but there is not much to hold the hose on.
Then the flare is broken off to keep the hose from popping off the radiator.

You might be able to find a radiator shop to replace the tank with the broken nipple, but I'm betting it would be cheaper to just replace it with a new one.:(

If you need a 2g radiator let me know. I got one for sale in good condition. And yes I would definately replace it if you broke where the hose clamps on.
