help, how to change a battery?

anyone willing to give me a step by step to uninstall/reinstall a battery for my 97 n/t eclipse?

also: i heard a bubbling sound from the enginbay when i turned off my car after letting it idle (while trying to recharge my battery) **random question if u know what that could be?**

Well basically undo the negative terminal, pull that cable out of the way. Undo the positive terminal and move it out of the way. Undo the battery tie down and remove the battery. Installation of the new one is the opposite.

The bubbling is more than likely coolant flowing back into the overflow bottle. Nothing to worry about.

remove/install of a battery is just about as straightforward as you can get...

take off the cables, remove the tiedown, remove the battery...

put new battery in, secure battery, replace cables...

If I can install a battery, any iddiot can. It's almost as simple as changing your oil...Which I'll just go ahead and assume that you are able to do that

Watch your wrist watch, when working around the battery it can make contact and arc on the battery terminal. Think its far fetched? I laughed too when they told us the same thing at LTI and a few months later it happened to me.
