i install my FMIC the past few days. and today i finished up but could not find my damn cord to be able to pop the hood open from inside the car. so i was scared to close it. well my dumbass neighbor came over and sat on the hood, ####ing idiot. and now i can't get the hood open..

and now i have this big ass fmic in the way where my hand would possibly be able to pop is open.. any ideas.

i had to take the hood latch device out.. guess i should just left it alone.. damnit

how to i get it to pop?

OMG that sucks so bad. I would say your going to have to go from the wheel well and take out the panel and try to get at the cable from there. My buddys wire broke on his Conquest TSI and it took us like a month to figure it out. GOOD LUCK MAN

my cable isnt hooked up to the hood latch.. thats the problem.. its hooked up to inside the car..

basically only thing i can think of its to take off everything AGAIN.. bumper/IC.. damnit.. and then unbolt the hood latch..

but theres no way i want to go thru that again.

mainly need to get to my MBC to turn boost down... its a lil way to high LOL. so i can drive just have to stay outta boost. which isnt hard but wtf.

sorry mods.. a little pissed..

I'm kinda of confuse. So your cable isn't hooked up to the latch inside the interior but you still have access to the cable from the inside correct? If this is correct then you need two people to open the hood

First person goes inside the car, takes the cable and with a plier (for more grip) pulls it.

Second person goes to the hood and pull it up, you might be better off taking the bumper off to have some access and space.

You both have to do it at the sametime, one pulling the cable and the other pulling the hood up

My gsx project has the same issue. My cable isn't connected to inside the car but I still have access to the cable to I pull it and have someone pull the hood up and it works.
Good luck.

no the cable wasnt connected on the hood latch.. in the engine bay.. got everything fix'd and taken car of.

connected cable, mounted front bumper, new alternator and new optima battery and she runs nice.. except for the bad boost creep LOL
