So just bought my 95 gst from a friend who took it apart to do the timing and let it sit for a yearLOL got it put back together and the car ran strong and hard, I put five gallons of fresh gas in it and took it for a drive got into boost in second gear and it falls flat on its face then picks back up where it left off almost like a bucking, any suggestions? Timings dead on I'm leaning twoard a fuel pump issue or injectors, they seem to have a ticking noise, any help would be great I m new too the whole dsm scene but its my third turbo car. Let me know guys

+1

Fill out profile and give us more information. What turbo, what psi, what fuel mods and tuning.

Sounds like fuel cut, which is not a symptom of insufficient fuel, but too much air. I would guess that you have some pretty big intake leaks based on what you said above, so do a boost leak test and fix what you find. There's really no other way you would be seeing fuel cut (if that's what it is) on a T25 at stock boost. And I bet your CEL is related to it as well, probably a P0170, which is a Fuel Trim Malfunction, also related to your boost leak.

Yea m in the process of changing the filter now, got a new set of ngks also, yea I had to rig up a 2.5 diamater. Rubber hose for my intake where it goes on to the turbo my be that's leakikn? I dunno got to pul the codes

Changed out the plugs and fuel filter, cel came back on with the car just idling, gna take it for a test ride tonite to see if t still hits fuel cut

You really need to pressurize the intake track, from the turbo to the throttle body, and make sure you fix all your leaks. even if you don't hit fuel cut again, it will improve your gas mileage and overall performance. Search 'boost leak tester' here and you'll probably find a hundred threads LOL, or go to VFAQ.com and read how to do it.

Yea I will look for that over the weekend,I'm in the process of trying. To find a uead dsm link version 3 would be nice, but may just settle for a version 2, if any body has a used one up for sale pm me thx guys!

Problem solved! Changed the plugs and fuel filter, the previous owner didn't tighten the plugs. They were finger tight!!!!!:ohdamn: but they are tight now and the car runs like a raped ape!! Still has a cel tho:( in the search for a dsm link now, it also has a oil leak ### I can smell it when I come to a stop and there's smoke coming out from behind the intake mani, any ideas what that may be coming from? Like I stated above this is my first tme in the dsm scene just lookin for a lil help LOL

no no aftermarket gauges, oil pressure is fine seems to be leking from the pan and hitting the cat, thats my guess any how:banghead:

Just make sure it's not leaking from behind the timing cover and soaking your belts. If it's the pan, DSM's don't use a gasket, just RTV.

yea thats what a buddy had told me, got to wait to get it up on the lift to pull the pan and reseal it, just got a apexi gt spec exhaust so before i put it on the new exhaust ima take off the old one and pul the pan,its def not leaking behind the timing cover ### i just had it off to do the t belt and it was bone dry behind there:hellyeah:
