Ok, so i am working on my friends car. We both have 95' tsi's. This is what he told me, it ran perfect and drove great, he came over with it running fine. Went to leave and it wont go over 4mph. Now its sitting at my house. I cant figure out whats wrong with it. Its running rediculously rich, obviously fouling out plugs like crazy, cant find a boost leak, fuel filter is fine, i just need some more ideas. Please help if you can

Also check around the passenger footwell over to the left if you smell a burning plastic smell it might be your ecu taking a poop on ya. just an easy thing you can check. usually when everythings fine and something suddenly goes wrong its an ecu related problem

ok, well im out of state on business so when i get back friday and get to work on it i will fill everyone in with more info and probably post a video. Also the ecu was never disconnected so if its burning the board its doing it on its own.

Try switching out your MAF. I remember when I did my first FMIC install I forgot to plug it back in, well lets say the car didn't run the same

well i just got evacuated out of my seminars in waterloo due to flooding, so i will be home tonight to do a little diagnosing and see what i can find out. Ill keep posting updates

thanks

Does your buds car sound and feel like its running on 3 cyl? If so try checking voltage at the o2 sensor ,it may send voltage but weak voltage as to not give you a cel .It happend to me on my 97 tsi, I changed front o2 sensor and the car got 1000 times better and was better on fuel. anyway good luck.
