i just installed a new bov on my car i dont know what its set at...but i can turn my car on but it wont go past 20mph do i need to soften or harden my bov...this has happened before when my pipe broke between the bov and intake but that was with the stock bov

How's the car running up to 20mph?

Does it run rich, feel strange?
Sounds like it may be in limp mode?

Sounds like the ECU could be in limp mode.

Do you have any way for logging?
How are you currently tuning.
What are your fuel mods?

i have no logging or way to tune it..i have been running on stock setup...besides exhaust, intake, and fmic

my bov is a punishment

Could definitely be a serious boost leak.

You definitely should look into a better fuel setup.

That car is probably struggling even in the best situation with that 16g and no fuel mods.

If that's all you did was change the bov then you made a boost leak check the bov it might be stuck open that's what happened when you broke the pipe like before you made a boost leak.

would i have to harden the bov or soften it to keep it from being stuck open

There's so many stupid replies in this thread.

You changed the bov and it started happening, so common sense says that you now have a vacuum leak since the only thing you said you touched was the bov.

1. Check to make sure you hooked up the vacuum hose from the bov to the intake manifold.

2. Make sure you're recirculating your bov dump pipe back into your intake pipe.

3. Do a boost leak test.

my turbo isnt shot...it was my bov it needed to be adjusted thanks for the help nfernotalon
