** HELP!!! Car wont REV past 2k!!!**

OK guys so I kind of did some research and well it seems that no one finds the problem.. So this is my story.. My car was running pretty decent when out of a sudden it kind of went wrong. I had the car off and when I turned it on it didnt even stay on. I rev it to keep it on and it kind of rev up to 5k and then went down to 2k. So now the car would not rev more than 2k throw any of the gears.. Also, on the stock boost gauge it kind of stays in the middle once I even put the key foward, when it has never done that before. What do you guys think it could be. I would really appreciate any help. THANKS!!!!

Have the ecu checked to make sure that it is ok internally(no leaking caps, or exploded traces). If it is found to be normal you can check the transistor pack ( middle of the intake plenum on top it has an oval plug like your mas air flow sensor) as the connectors come loose from a broken tab and intercooler piping. The intercooler piping can blow off and cause all kinds of running issues as the air the mas air flow sensor is reading is not making it to the engine itself. These are the most common for the engine not wanting to rev up like normal. There are other things that can cause this condition but verify these are all in working order first. goodluck

Make sure the MAS connector is plugged in and do a boost leak test.

Sounds exactly like an intercooler pipe came off. I've had this happen to me a couple times, should be an easy fix (if that is the problem). You can do a boost leak test which will make it very obvious if a pipe is popped off, and you can also find some smaller ones you may have while you're at it.

Visually inspect that all the wires are plugged into the MAF. Or borrow one from a friends 2G and try. Most likely its is a MASSIVE boost leak however.
