car wont rev past 2k need helppppp

So today we tried firing up my buddys car. just got a new head and 20g setup. 650s with a dsmchip and 3g mas. car idles fine at like 550 600 its a little low but it also has comp 272s the idle sounds great but when you rev it up it wont rev past 2k and it revs up kinda slow. adjusted the cas and its got oil pressure starts up fine maybe a little rough. its also running a open downpipe. any ideas guys?

Check to make sure your getting 12 volts and the alternator is putting out. Check spark plugs. For some reason right after I switched cams I needed to change plugs.

if u figure it out please post it because my car is doing the same thing but its 3500 rpm and started happening after my apage regulator in my alt went bad.
i really need to figure this thing out i miss the power

Ensure CAS isn't 180 off.

Verify the MAS was installed properly, and you compensated for the different hz values accordingly. The 3g sensors put out a lower hz reading for the same amount of airflow as the 2g sensors.

Check for any LARGE vacuum leaks after the MAF, especially the bov if it is not recirculated.

Also, a compression and leak down tests will give you peace of mind for anything that may be mechanically wrong with the engine.
