So let me lay it all out for you guys since these issues could possibly be tieing in together...
A week ago I installed a boost gauge. Works great... EXCEPT on hot starts. The needle will sit at zero for up to 2-3 minutes and then finally start reading vacuum. I thought this was a problem with the gauge until today when I gave the car a hot start, pulled the vacuum line from the T fitting (I have it T'd into the line from the fuel pressure regulator solenoid) and felt aboslutely no vacuum.
I sat and waited a few minutes. Boom - I feel vacuum from the T fitting. I plug the hose in and my gauge immediately reads out the correct vacuum.
On a side note, I decided to install my Hallman MBC and turn the boost up to 15 psi. Previously, I was running at 10 psi. I felt absolutely no change at all in power from the 5 psi bump.
Could these problems be tied together? How do I fix the vacuum issue? If the vacuum issue couldn't be causing the power problem, what could it be?
I'm desperate here
