Your compliments, sincere posts, and idea are great but I think you're lacking the concept we have evaluated for you. It may not seem like you are asking for donations to make YOUR car faster, but YOU ARE.

This site has become successful, and thanks go out to Shepard and Collier for their success in the DSM world. THEY built their cars. THEY worked hard on their cars. THEY get OUR recognition for THEIR efforts.

Im sure Defiant and the administration would rip this apart if they saw it. I just dont think you understand what youre asking here. I can't believe youre older then 19, I'm 18 and wouldn't even think of asking others to "contribute" to my car, because I know I sure as hell wouldn't contribute to THEIR car.

How bout this, I want my car in the 12's, I'm opening a donation site for it. Will YOU contribute to it? Honestly?

Honestly if I had the money and I was much older and in a more stable life hell yeah I would donate as much free money as I felt that I safely could. Especially if I got the chance to see what my money was doing. Unlike charities where you have no clue where your dollars went and didnt get to SEE who it did good for. I've seen so many other sites like mine reach they're goal that it made me sick to my stomache, so now that I had the extra cash, I decided to create one of my own. I expected to get a half and half good/bad feedback, especially from the younger crowd.

Shep and Collier had sponsors too, and shops. Yes I'm sure for the most part they used their own money to make their cars, and so have I, as you see in that list I have a LOT of mods already. More than the average DSMer. I would have had more except I let alot of them go with the GST *sigh*, now THAT I was stupid for. I miss that car

I do think alot of us have overreacted on multiple occasions, but if you reread your original post you could see where most of them were coming from. You have to beware when you post stuff like this because everyone around here has been getting alot of power trips, or what I like to call internet tough guys. Once a Moderator chimes in, the will set things straight. Dont take alot of this stuff to the heart, you will see there are alot of tough guys around here.




Once again, I am not pointing fingers at anyone! Its all opinion based.

Hey its pretty simple, on a different forum people might not act so negatively. Regardless of what you have said, it comes down to the fact that any small donation a person could make to your DSM, they could make to their own DSM. And thats it.

I welcome your opinions just like I have from everybody else in this thread and I am just responding I fully understand why everyone was screaming spam, and having alot of negative feedback, and that is why I continue to interact with the threads I posted this site in.

I seriously thank everybody here for all your opinions, even the negative ones. I woke up this morning and after I got ready for my day, I checked my email to find this very artistic email from a fellow dsmer on the NYCCDSM.com boards by the name of "Trub00gie" or "Nelson Dorado <[email protected]>" and the message goes as...

Wow, where the #### do you live so I can ring your bell and punch you in the ####ing mouth. How about helping me with my $3800 credit card debt, my car payments, insurance payments, gas, rent, utilites, cell phone bill, guitar equipment cost, groceries, metrocard payments, and school tuition? You wouldn't happen to be able to spare a $20 to help me out would you? No? There's you're answer, asshat.

You have some ####ing nerve asking people to give up their hard earned money to help you build a ####ing car. You're a ####ing disgrace.

Dump the girl, flush you're precious ferret down the ####ing toilet, sell you're other ####ing car, give your cats over to a shelter so other, more worthy owners can care for them, and who needs a social life when you have a 9 sec car right?!

Well at least all I can say to that was he had propper grammar. This actually motivates me to continue to do this. It also gave me a good laugh to start my day and now I'm off to the Azalea Festival with my girl in downtown Wilmington, so excuse me if I dont chime in as much today I hope everybody else enjoys their day as much as I am. oh but wait, I have to feed my ferrets and cats before I go bye!

Sound like alot of people are mad that they diddnt think of it first. Have none of you heard of helpmebuyanescalde . com That guy got enought money to buy a car. I figure if it has a chance in hades of working why not. If you dont want to help dont, but dont give the guy a bunch of crap because of it. I think its a pretty creative idea, and I hope it works out for him. Do you people honestly think that the cars running that fast had no help from anyone? Not unless the cars owners were millionares.
