My car is a 1991 Talon tsi here is my dilemma, I pulled the motor and put in forged internals (had it done professionally) and my car is running really hot. I do not know the temp because my gauge will not work. My engine coolant temp sensor had wires ripped out so I soldered the points back in correctly on the adapter, checked all the fuses and relays and plugged it in and the radiator fan still wont kick on, so I am wondering if there are any other causes to that problem that I can check while im waiting for my new sensor. Second is the mpi wire on the battery terminal. The person that had it before me cut the wire and if I have it hooked up it idles a lot smoother but the car will not shut off when I turn the ignition off. I can pull the key out and everything and the car is still running.
