Hey guys,I had bought my first car(a white 97 Eclipse) about a month ago,and everything was fine until until last weekend.I was driving to church and the heater hose(I think) was spurting out fluid when I stopped and popped the hood.I thought it would be an easy enough fix,so i went to autozone and bought some more hose.I took off the old hose, but now I have no idea how I can get the new hose on.Its the piece to the right of the radiator cap in between the 2 pieces of metal.Right above the headers. Thanks in advance!:D

You heater hoses are in the back of the engine.

The hose you are talking about is just a coolant hose. It should be really easy to replace. Make sure you bought the correct size hose.

Its kind of hard to see but its the one in the red circle right.?

Thats the hose im referring to.I believe its the heater hose. Not quite sure. This is my first car..and I never worked on anything under the hood:(

Its not the heater core hose. If you look behind the engine under the Throttle body you can see there are two hoses that go to the firewall, those are the heater core hoses.

The one you have to replace is very easy just remove it take it to a parts store and have them give you one that its the same and you are done.

You are welcome.

For the tube it really depends on how badly bent it is. If it was working fine before just leave it. Just make sure you get the correct size hose.

Also try replacing all your coolant hoses if you can. It will save you time and money later on.
