I bought THIS COOLANT HOSE KIT from RTM Racing which is all preformed. The issue is that I've previously only used generic rubber hose for my heater hoses (the two coming from the firewall). My engine is out of the car and I wanted to attach them to the firewall so it's easier to get at before putting the engine back in. Which end connects to the firewall? The end with 2 bends or the end with 3? I can probably figure out clock orientation from there.

Also, as you can see in their image, the heater hoses are the same length. But that seems odd since one connects closer to the firewall on the water pipe and one farther away. It seems like all of the preformed kits are like that. Any advice?

Finally, less important, but you see how there are three "L" shaped hoses? I haven't found where one of those is supposed to go. I labeled as best I could in the attached image. The only thing I can think of is that it is for the T-25 turbo because I have a Small 16G and I had to buy a separate piece of silicone hose for the line that connects to the block since the kit didn't come with it.

If they’re the same as gplus hoses, some trimming is required. The straight section goes on the heater hose and the hose on the p/s is longer (to the thermostat housing). I did have an extra hose.
Good to know regarding the trimming. I'm a bit unclear what you mean by the straight section. Is this correct?

correct

Ive done it 3 or 4 times now, use a razor blade and cut the old ones off the firewall. I prefer to re use the old OEM clamps the worm clamps are typically garbage in the kit

I typically use the all black hose kits these days

Yeah the black definitely gives more of the stock look. I will probably do that with my radiator hoses. For now I just have the rubber as I didn't include those in the kit I bought. I just figured I'd do something a little different and went red for all my coolant and bought their vacuum kit with blue hoses. I tend to be a bit more subtle in my color choices so the big radiator hoses, particularly the upper, I would go with black.

Oh, I did actually use a normal rubber hose for the one connected to the PCV, as I've found that oil and silicone to mix well. I had a few blue hoses from that old Larson kit I think from RRE and that PCV hose is super discolored and oily. Maybe a doube-walled hose like the coolant ones would work better but for now it's just a hose from the auto parts store.

Thanks for the posts!

Silicone coolant hoses should be multi-layer, reinforced, & teflon lined. Vacuum hose are not henced the oil bleed thru..
