2G Heater Control Cables

Replaced my heater core last night and after putting everything back together I realized that two of those cable controls aren't attached to anything. One is for the direction the air travels, I'm guessing that hooks to the spot you can see in the picture on the heater box. But where does the Cold/Hot cable connect to?

Does anyone have a picture or diagram?
