My headliner was trash and im going for an all black interior so I decided to redo my headliner and my visors. After some persuasion I decided to repair my trashed headliner. I made patches out of dense cardboard held on by superglue, might be ugly but efficient.

I used about $10 worth o black fleece found at walmart. Im doing some other projects to the interior so once the whole things looks great Ill load the pictures larger.

No need to wait, this costs under $20 and can be done in a hour (with time for glue to dry)

I need to do the same thing, wondering what kind of glue you used and what all is used to hold the headliner up to the roof? I've been using the weather stripping or w/e it's called inside only and it sags in the middle, not the fabric, but the headliner itself.

It was an awesome write-up, You get mad props for this kronus

Hey thanks. I think in a few weeks I'm actually gonna go over it again. I think I'm gonna fiberglass in the part of the headliner board that I'm missing. We'll see how it goes.

Trust me try super glue and cardboard. worked for me. if a spots missing, cut some cardboard to fill in the pieces

Well mine's solid except around the sunroof opening itself. If you look closely at the pics in my write up, you'll see that they did a sh*t job of cutting the original board.

I still don't get what holds the headliner up, I see the sunvisors, passenger handle, and domel light help but what else?

I don't have sun roof..

Some misc. clips hidden under your interior trim and a 3 towards the back of the headliner. At least that's what it is for the 1g.

I wish I had taken a pic of the clip. But mine were so brittle they fell apart as soon as I pulled them out. Just take out any interior panels touching or covering the headliner and you'll see.

Yeah i broke a bunch of mine too, ### us guys way of being gentle doesnt always work. Any way yeah the trim is the hard part, once that is off its clear sailing from there. Ill go out later and take a pice of the clips if i still have them.

Nice job bro. I wrapped my headliner in microsuede though and I used Loctite Heavy Duty adhesive spray. It's holding great so far... Don't mean to hijack your thread either. :D
