As stated after I blacked out my headlight's I cannot see 20 feet infront of the car at night...But if you look at the lights, they look bright as hell, and no glare...But there like taping flashlights to the front of your car...Is there a simple fix?

Nope nothing will make them brighter unless you take the crap off.. i did it to and went out and bought 4300k light bulbs the best they have ( $50) and i still can't see that far ahead. BUt the trade off is its looks sick as hell on a black on black talon :sneaky:

You VHT'd the headlights? I thought you just did the blackout like I did...

I could have told you, VHT'ing the headlights will kill your headlights! You can install some 100w 4300k HID's and get some light back... But still... What did you expect?

Dude my stock headlights, I blacked out the insides... not the reflective part... just the surounding... They are dark and look killer and I still have perfect light with them. My mom installed some GTP black Headlight Covers on her truck, she lost all her light almost. My friend Curtis has some also for his Eclipse... he has HID's and still light is very iffy. Thats something I would never do, Take the VHT Off!

Ok, explain what I'm seeing here...

Looks like you painted the entire insides of the headlights black, not leaving anything reflective for the light to bounce off of... Is this right?

what do you expect? you just painted the damn headlights!

take it off. you can get black out covers from mach v for you car that you can take off at night.

whats next you going to try and P&P the head by sucking sand into the motor? (im kidding)

Wow, it's not like you couldn't see that coming. Painting a normally reflective 'chrome' housing black? Black absorbs light, thus the color BLACK!

Geeze, stop being cheap and just buy the 'jdm/euro' black housings on ebay.

Yep...After the first time i just did the top, they wern't dark, enough...So I redid them by painting the intire inside black...Why did I do this you ask? I'm an idiot.. Also I couldnt find VHT so I just painted it.. What if i paint the back parts white again? And you said that even putting in hid's now still wont help the seeing at night?I have sylvania silverstar bulbs right now..They rocked before the damm blackout. It seems like I could see better with just my fog lights running..

Thanks

Bud

The back of the headlights aren't white tho... They are a full chrome/reflective. Your headlights are totaled. You can try some type of paint stripper... but it most likely will kill the reflective housing. The BEST WAY you can black out your headlights, is to look into my new ones and see whats painted and whats not.

Buy new headlights and try again, or order some off ebay like mine.

If you try again... Look at your headlights... The Bowl... that CANNOT be touched with paint. The clear lens, CANNOT be touched by paint. Anything else, paint away! The bottom, the top, the sides all can be painted. But the bowls cannot! Thats what the light reflects off of, to shoot at the ground to light it up. Even the side wall right there on my headlights that is still chrome, can be painted... it just makes unwanted glare. The bowl is the main suspect you MUST protect. So get some masking tape, and start workin. It took me an hour to mask each headlight properly...

I know the back part is not white, but if I paint it white( the part that is supposed to be reflective) I might be able to get light back..It won't be perfect, but won't be totally stock looking..Or I Might go back to stock, from the lights off my talon..I guess it's trial and error with stuff like this..Put the black ones on for cruising during the day, and the others on for nightime driving..

I don't want to bite the bullet and buy new headlights..If I do it, It wont be before I have a built engine and tranny. I'll stick to free mods for appearance wise fore now..

BTW, with those headlights like that, your car looks dead... glazed eyes... LOL. Either dead or highly drugged!

Glazed eyes.ROFL..Not while driving anyways..No Sir..Not once..True story, but it's hard to believe..That's why the cops never pull me over I don't ever do anything illeagal in my car..Ok maybe speeding a little bit, but not in town..

get new ones.... it looks like your are ricing out your car... dont rush if worst comes get them off ebay... but the only way to fix them are to get new or used ones...
