ok so I was swapping my turbo today and noticed that I had a good amount of liquid in my turbo exhaust housing and as well as the cyl port are wet.
The car has sit overnight after a good 1hour drive home(it was raining) then Started the car to moved in front of garage.) It wasnt even warmed up, stayed on maybe 1 minute)
definitely not oil so the only thing I can think of is coolant. which could only mean a BHG or head lifting
things Ive noticed lately.
After a wot. and let say i push down the clutch it idle surge sometimes. then settles back down to normal.
cold start also takes longer now.(coolant in cyl?)
loosing some coolant level(but I have an external leak (water pipe oring) that im going to fix at the same time as the turbo swap so I didnt think much of it)
now I dont think it has fully blown for obvious reason. if I hadnt pulled the turbo out I wouldnt have known as the car still runs/pulls great.(I thought the surge was another boost/vac leak.)
mods are in profile. but basically l19 with mls. running 30psi on e316g on e85.
now Im swapping in a hy35 in and plan to run 30 psi aswell. till I found this out.
so My question is.
can I retorque my L19 one at a time(meaning loossen fully then torque to 85. then move on to the next one and so forth)
or is it too late and best to just get another HG in?
if I do go with another HG I would have to go composit as I wont be able to get the block resurfaced. (the head I will get machined)
btw coolant and oil has not mixed.
