Helping a freind replace his head gasket on his 95 2g and there isnt anything on Vfaq about it. All i need to do is remove the head, have the head resurfaced and replace all the gaskets and studs correct ??
 
It's a little more complex than that, but yes pretty much.
Pull off the timing belt, exhaust manifold, intake manifold, etc. etc.
It's not a one day project for the average wrencher.
 
Yea i worked on dsms enough to feel comfortable doing the job(this is not my car though). Just wanted to know if there was anything major i should look out for or a critical step that gets over looked.
 
Make sure you follow the correct torquing sequence, and properly time it when you're finished.
Other than that it's basic mechanics.
