Ok....im pretty much building my engine...im already done with the bottom end...wiseco pistons 9.0-1 compression, eagle rods, block bored .40 over, balanced shafts removed..As far as the head i need peoples opinions....im going to be using a holest hx-35 turbo...im getting the head gasket matched, 1mm oversized ss valves..i kno the turbo will pull hard in upper rpms, should i get the si dual spring kit with titanium retainers? i want to be able to rev to 8000-8500 safely, and what cam to use..the comp cams, hks, or fp cams, which series though...any help would be appreciated :talon:

I just added Comp 200's and the idle smooth and their range according to comp is 2300-7300 but I am sure will rev higher. You may need a Crower stage 3 camset, rough idle but probably more revs. How much do 1mm o.s. valves cost and where? Thanks, mark

i personally dont think you will need the dual spring sets. at about $600 a set, its a bit steep. I say get a good set of crower springs/ ti-retainers and it will not doudbetdly take 8500 no prob. The stock rev limiter is set at 7500 and the crowers are 15% increaser in pressure over stock, so you will be safe. I also reccomend crowers stage 2 cams, or a HKS 272/264 combo set.
