2G cylinder head help please. stuck on build

I was just looking over my head again before i install my new parts and found a part in the corner of head was welded up. I don't know if this will cause problems for me or what i should do at this point. But i can get a new head just this one is ready to go. I will be uploading pictures. Some help on how this looks and what i sould do will help I'm stuck till i figure out what to do.

With out really knowing why it was welded its hard to say, but its common for heads to have been welded. They are after all aluminum and many times repaired over builds and ect.
So to wrap up just because its welded has no negative affect, its what was welded or covered up, repaired that may shine a brighter light on the matter. Im sure bogus will strike soon.

if its the area under the front of the cam tower like i see, i might check the cam journals straightness.
