Need Help on Cylinder Head Install

Aright,so I toasted my Cylinder head a few months ago, and im getting another one to put on to my car, im gonna have it sent to a machine shop for a valve job and all that fun stuff but its my first cylinder head install, if anyone could provide me with a walkthrough on how to install with no problems that would be great, also what tools are needed . The timing belt is no problem as i know how to do that, but any other help is greatly appreicated. Feel free to Email me at [email protected]. For Reference, i have a 90 GST

I really dont know what you are asking. You put on the head gasket, slide the hid on the studs (arps i hope) and torque them down.

I'm curious as to what other wear/tear parts one might want to replace, since the head's off anyway.

I wish it was that easy...it wasn't when I was doing it. I had to hack up my motor mount to slide the head on the engine. There were lots of issues I had to go through so it wasn't an easy install for me. In fact I'm still finishing it up...have minor issues left. Go here for a write up on it...buy a haynes or similiar manual as well. The manual helps immensely.

Read the post by Buck...I basically followed that but didn't delete the BS shaft. Good luck.
