I’m about to pull my head again and do the gasket. Gonna have to get it machined I think so I’ll be tearing it down. What are some recommendations or advice y’all might have for rebuilding the head. It’s a street car so nothing real fancy.

Best bet is to take it to a machine shop, and have them spec out the valve guides, and test the head for leaks. Stock valves are good for a street car with decent power. I’d have the stock valves cut/lapped, and then put Brian crower springs/retainers, and call it a day. I’d even dabble in some nice 272/272 cams LOL
