7 bolt build options

So, I'm picking up a 95 awd talon tomorrow(already have the title and all), has a bunch of mods and whatnot but only problem is that the engine knocks badly. Crankwalk maybe, idk.

Anyways, I have a 1g 7 bolt shortblock with evo 9 pistons, fresh from the machine shop that I'm going to put in. I also have a 1g 7 bolt head with evo9 springs and retainers, new valves, etc.

Would it be better to go with the 1g head or 2g head? I know the ports on the 1g are larger but upon searching it seems that larger isn't necessarily better. I was thinking of just swapping my evo9 springs and retainers onto the 2g head. If I kept the 2g head, worth it be worthwhile to put my 1g tb on and port out my 2g im?

Also, what are the differences between the 1g 7 bolt and the 2g shortblocks and would I need to change anything up on my 1g 7bolt shortblock?

For the ports, the 1g head flows better at high rpm. The 2g has small ports but, is good for stock to modded levels. Only at high power levels would a 1g head be better. This is from a 4g63 guideline book.
Putting a 1g into a 2g seems like a little challenge, as some things I know are different on the block. But as far as sensors go I'm not sure. The 2g 7 bolts either have a crank sensor or a cam sensor like the 1g's.

I would assume engine mounts would be different but I could be wrong. I only own a 420a 2g. and a 1g 7bolt talon.
