I'm a long time user of CeddyMods, but just recently switched over to ECMLink. From what I can tell, everything is set up correctly for it to fire right up. But here we are.

Important mods are as follows:
ID1000 cc injectors
Rewired 255 pump
Omni 4 bar using MDP plug
GM IAT
Stock displacement engine
BC101 cams
AEM wideband with 0-5v wired through front O2

Can some seasoned tuners give me some feedback?

It's a good start
On the ALS/Knock tab, you can disable ALS for now.
On the Misc tab, you can turn on "Disable airflow smoothing w/SD operation"
Also on the Misc tab, you can turn on "Enable hot start enrichment" if you have issues restarting when hot
What fuel are you running?

Thanks for that. I'm running e85 but haven't installed flex sensor yet. That's next.

I'm running E85 also - My Global Fuel is richer than your setup - I'm running -20 You don't "Need" a flex sensor if you run one mix all the time. I have run E25 for a while, and then went full E85 - and I don't have a flex sensor.

I usually just run whatever is at the e85 pump. And since I only get gas once a year or so, I'm opting to go with the flex setup so I don't have to guess at what the mix actually is.

Once a year gas? - that would be great! LOL.

A flex sensor will be a nice upgrade.

If you are leaving the car sit - gasoline is less corrosive. E cars prefer to be run frequently.

Did you install ECMLink and E85 at the same time? Have you ever had ECMLink running in this car? If you have just installed ECMLink you might be dealing with an inverted coil trigger - meaning plugs 1-4 are firing when it needs the 2-3 coil to trigger. If you feel it firing and stopping the cranking - its easy to switch the plug wires at the coil temporarily to see if that will make it go.

Cold start on E85 can be difficult. I have to crank long, or crank twice. Try setting the global fuel / deadtimes richer, and see if it starts to fire.

IDK why this is or if this is only my experience but honestly with my flex fuel sensor and ECMLink I have to adjust deadtimes in between filling up with E85 and pump 93. The rest of the tune and global are always fine to be left alone but it’ll idle suuuuuuper lean on 93 after switching to E85 so I have to add like +200 to deadtimes to even out.

I just changed from a black box to ECMLink. When I plug in the old ECU, it fires right up.
I have the "not 95-96" box checked in my settings.
I've messed around with the dead times adding 50-100 at a time to see if it'll hit, but haven't had any luck.

Ultimately, since I got this ECU used, I've decided to send it off to ECMTuning to have them check it out and make sure everything works properly. Worst case, I spent $50 for them to give it a clean bill of health and I have to continue troubleshooting my own incompetence.

Good to know. Thanks for that!

Not a comment on your inability to start the car but ethanol left in the tank like that is a bad idea given its affinity to absorb water and destroy fuel system components. Not to mention you not wanting to run that fuel a year later given that water absorbtion. It will also dilute the oil which will then be sitting on all of your engine components for long periods of time without being run up to temp to burn it off.

What year ECU is it? Do you need to swap the plug wires?

I used to drive the car every couple of weeks so it wasn't as much of a concern, but now that I've only put 50 miles on it in the last year, I'm going to start using a lower e mix.

And the ECU is a 95 and the car is a 98 and I think you just solved the problem. That's embarrassing.

Hopefully the fix is that easy for you. And no need to be embarrassed. The forum exists for this type of thing. Let us know how it goes.
