I'm having problems with my top going down, I'm not real familiar with the names of the pieces so bear with me.
My top will not go down all the way, the bent links are bent at a 90 degree angle and hitting the rear seat. Also there's a small strap that is rivited from the link to the something on the rear of the roof, another arm maybe? Anyways, the small straps on both sides are separated from whatever they are supposed to be attached too. Also, the front end of the bent link is supposed to be attached to an aluminum bar that goes from one side of the car to the other, well on both sides of the top, the screws have been ripped out of the bar, it looks as if the threads that are in the bar are now gone. I know the OEM straps are what caused this but what exactly can I do about the screw that is broken out of the bar? And can I reuse the links if I straighten them out?

I've read the three threads concerning this same thing and I have still not got an answer about the screw in the first bow. Everywhere I read says that it's rivited it, but mine is screwed in. I guess I can just straighten the link out and put another screw in there then?
