having issues getting my wheel off, Need help!!!

When I bought the car, it came with 2 gs wheels on the drivers side, and 2 steelies on the passenger side (don't ask). Now I got my suspension and rims in, and I wanna put them on myself, I know I'm more then capable of doing it, but the steelies on my passenger side are like rusted the f*ck on. My friend and I bet the hell out of it, and still nothing. And its front the front and rear. Any pointers on what I can do to get these off. I'm told this is typical with DSM, weather or not thats true i dunno. But I need help, any hints??

That happend to me before. I had the car on jack stands, and I had to get ungerneath the car and kick the wheel off. After several attepmts it finnally came off. Be careful though.

try to get a hammer and just hit it lightly.. just tap it little bit.

the impact vibration should be enough to break the "rust-seal"

some PB blaster, a big ass breaker bar or an impact gun. If they are rusted on bad then don't be surprised if you snap off the lugs when you are trying to get them off.

I usually give it a good running kick or a back kick and it falls right off. Or you can stick a block of wood in there with the front end up and turn the steering wheel.

Screw the nuts on finger-tight, back off about a half-turn, and do a nice, slow, easy figure-8 in front of the house. When you feel them pop loose, stop and tighten the nuts until you're back in the driveway.

Ok so my car has been sitting for almost 3 years now I finally get the time/money to fix it up ... rip the motor apart, yada-yada-yada i jack it up and try to take the wheels off of it ... they are rusted on!!!! I have soaked them numerous times with WD-40 and tried everything i could think of
....Rubber Mallet against wheel (FAILED)
....Prybar! (FAILED)
....Kicking (FAILED)


ANY SUGGESTIONS??????????????????

Keep kicking! mine was the same way. I either kicked it for almost 10 minutes, or i left break away on it for a few days

if ithe car is securly on jackstands.. take a 2x4 or better, place it against the inside of a rim ,then whack it with a BFH (BigFckinhammer)

if the car is high enough off the ground,place the 2x4 perpendiciular to the rim.. ull have no recoil from whacking the 2x4..and it would be easier.

either way youll have to whack it really hard.

no offense defiant but i find that would be kind of unsafe. i have this problem on the passenger side front tire all the time... in fact everytime. what i do is get all the lugs off and give it a kick while supporting your weight with your hands on the ground behind you kick it on the bottom of the tire and you'll knock it loose.

Get a bigger hammer.

Get a torch, heat up the wheel and feed candle wax into the crevasses of the wheel. This method works well for getting things off.
