Hey everyone, so I am having some idle issues. I am currently stumped. Here is the issue. Start car idle is at 2500 rpms. Go to adjust BISS it brings it down slighty. Turn BISS all the way down car should die, instead it idles at about 1500 rpms. Now that means to me it is getting air from somewhere else. I did a boost leak test to about 30psi and it holds good. Here is a video.
Here is what I have done over the past few weeks trying to get this figured out.
1) replaced ISC with brand new OEM Mitsubishi ISC - tested coils all at 39ohms + or - 0.5
2) Replaced busted electrical connector that connects to ISC
3) New BISS Screw and Plug
4)Sent ECU in to be tested, The guys at ECMLINK, said all is good and no issues with it.
I am on Speed Density. Car still needs to be tuned, pretty much all the tables are stock as well as the dead time for my injectors. (FIC 1150, 330deadtime).
As I adjust the BISS and log it in ecmlink, the ISC Position doesn't really do what you would expect. Also I am not 100% positive it is operating as it should. If you watch video it goes in when key is on, and out when key is off. I thought this is supposed to be extend when key is on, and retract when key is off?
I have taken my throttle body off right now, and going to clean it and check the FIAV gasket, but so far it is looks good.
One other note: My Tial Q BOV is open at idle, I think I may have a week spring. I know it has the 8psi spring, but I think I may need to get the 11psi spring? SInce I have 272 cams.
My throttle body is a rebuilt one from http://www.throttlebodys.com/2G Turbo.htm
Let me know if I am missing something, what I can check, it is being a real pain.
