Im having an idle problem with my car. Sitting in my shop i can get it to idle fine and as soon as i drive it and come to a stop it wants to die!. I have adjusted the throttle stop, tps and everything seems fine but it just won't stay running and im seriosly about to sell this one and buy another one. I just swapped out my 2g throttle body for a 1g and i ported everything out and it came out good and it ran fine for a cpl days and now this. Im lost. I was planning to do alot of work to this car over the winter but i can't if its running bad now. Any input would be appreciated.

did you check the iac motor? also like he said see if you have a boost leak...

and you say it runs if its idling, but when you drive and come to a stop it dies....that sounds like the iac motor... my car was doing the same and i had to replace the throttle body and it came with new iac and it fixed the problem....

Two things I've noticed from your profile that could cause this.

1. With the levels of mods, I'm assuming you have an upgraded BOV, are you venting?

2. The lack of afpr for the 255.

Run a ground wire to the throttle body and then adjust the closed throttle switch so you have continuity between the single wire terminal and ground. I am assuming this is what you referred to as the throttle stop.

yeah i fixed the problem with it. My stand alone ended up resetting itself....and put the ide fuel at 0% so when i came to a stop it died....Now it good only thing is that now i blew the tranny up ahahahaha......its off the road for this year....winter came early i guess.
