Having a problem shifting

Hey guys. My question is this....When I start my car up and give it gas then let off, it makes this terrible hissing sound until the rpm's fall all the way down and during acceleration the noise doesnt stop until about 2500 rpm's. Today I was driving and I would push the clutch in and the car would move on its own WITH THE CLUTCH PUSHED IN. One other thing is it stalled and when I went to start it, the car was lunging forward a little bit and being a pain in the a$$ to start. Could this be my pressure plate/throwout bearing making all that noise b/c the throwout bearing is rubbing against the pressure plate every time I drive the car? It almost seems like I could power shift and it would be better than pushing in the clutch. Any replies would be very helpful. Thx, Rick

Well from my exp. When a release bearing is worn out it makes more of a sound like a rattling rather than a hiss and also it didnt make noise until I pressed the clutch pedal not while it was in gear. Though that was on a different kind of car so Im not sure what noise it will make on my DSM. Sounds like your clutch isnt fully disengaging. Why I do not know.

Actually it is more like a screeching noise. Kinda sounds like throwout bearing IS rubbing against the pressure plate not just when I push the clutch in but all the time.
