has anyone tested out the obx intake manifold?

Ok so I feel dumb for asking this but has anyone tested out the obx intake manifold I mean I have looked at it but it doesnt look like it will work? So info on that would be helpful or if anyone knows of a good cheap manifold? (now for the dumb question) this question is actually a question for my friend who owns a 97 eclipse gs. He wants to know if anyone knows of a brand of intake that will whistle for his 420a?

Only thing I know that whistles is a supercharger...The OBX manifold has been discussed here many of times. It varys from person to person.

obx intake manifold worked for me not problem.. just a few easy things that u got to do to make it work..
but i think bullet did a write up on 2gnt.com.. you might want to check that out..

after i put it on, it was whistling pretty loud. was kinda cool

also if you dont want to spend 200 on a obx, there is this no name company that makes IM for the 420a on ebay that looks just like the obx

oh I have messed with this kid many times I made it so when he stepped on the breaks it made his horn go off I learned that in 9th grade in shop Me and a few friends played a prank on the teacher pretty good stuff also was a dsm so dont ask how to do it ### idk how to do it on any other car ... But the obx will work your saying?

i have it and it works great i did have to mill some of the inside to make it more flush. and make a new hole for your map sensor and air temp sensor the holes in the back are not big enough for the air sensor.. and you do not have enough wire for your map sensor to reach back there. but you can use your vac lines in the holes in the back. and if you use a over size TB you will have to make the hole where the TB mounts bigger here is some pics of mine

hey,i have my obx intake on finally 2weeks now no prob,but it was a considerable amount of work for a so called bolt on part ,lots of cleaning up the thing to make it fit and make the injectors fit.I like it makes my red line higher,seems to be a bit more snappier on the launch and at high speeds like 140 or so it does whistle,..to sum up it wasnt easy,,,viper......good luck
