My life is a mess!
I am new to the DSM world for starters. I bought a 95 gst about a month ago and the week after I bought it I got hit by a Fedex truck going 50
. He hit me in the pass. door so the motor is still perfect. My insurance did not cover the damages and in Mi it is no fault.
A few days ago I found a 95 Talon tsi with 66k miles with a blown motor for $1000. Score right!? It looks like thing are looking up....
Well, I started pulling the tsi motor and I noticed what I believe to be a 6 bold swap. Whoever did the wire splicing was horrible because most of the connections are just twisted and taped.
Here are my questions:
(Keep in mind that I don't know the specifics for doing a 6 bold swap)
1) How difficult would it be to yank the engine harness out of my gst and put it in the talon in place af the rigged one thats in it? It is even possible or should I just remove the spliced plugs for the 6 bolt (injectors, etc) and solder the 7 bold plugs in.
make sense?
2) I also noticed that the fuze/relay boxes are different on my two cars. The text on the outside is white on one and blue on the other and some of the items are in different places on the label. Could this be because of the swap also?
Thanks for the help in advance guys.
