Hello every one. I'm not exactly new to dsm's but I'm having an issue with a 95gst. This is my brothers car. He bought it for $500 and I'm helping him get it going. The car will crank and not start some times and then others it will crank and run like crap. It seems like timing to me but the timing is dead on. Things I have replaced and checked are. Cas/cps both are new. Coil is a known good one. Ecu is working correctly as it works in my car so does the mpi. Car needs wires and will be here soon had to order them. The fuel pump is working. Mas is also good. With the key in the on position and the car not running the mpi rapidly clicks and the spark plug wires are getting random spark (engine not running). I have searched a lot and can't find any thing else that pertains to this. Any help would be great thanks.

Sorry yes I put both of them off of my car on his and still the same. But after I tested my ecu on his car it fried a part of my ecu the has something to do with my tps. And caused my safc to read 100% throttle. I looked at his and it's fried in the same place. I fixed the spot on my ecu and it's fine now. All that happened in the last 15 minutes.

He might have had a bad isc, those can cause a short in the ecu I've read. Have ecmlink inspect and repair it, while it's there have them make it eeprom.

We both have EPROM ecu's. The previous owner had the o2 plugged into a differant plug and it blew his ground. I tried checking to see if his car would run with my ecu and it blew mine. I then found the problem in the ecu's fixed them both and traced it back to the o2. His car runs perfect now and he only gave $500 for it.
