I did some hard driving today with 7-11 93 in the tank and when under WOT it was backfiring intermittently. When I went 3/4 or so throttle it would pull pretty smooth. Seems like bad gas to me. Thoughts? In the vid you can hear it a little at the beginning of the run. I was watching my CEL for knock (set at 3 deg w/ link) and saw none so I'm pretty sure it wasn't that. The car runs perfect other than that and that's the first time that has ever happened..I can't wait to get back on E85! Commuting sucks.

You should probably remove that video before this thread gets deleted. :nono:

As for your problem it is probaby ignition related. When were your plugs/wires changed last? What is your gap? Which plugs are you running 6's/7's/8's? Maybe a coil pack but that is not likely.

This was done at Blackhawk Farms raceway so its not illegal. In addition, I don't think it's the coil pac as it's pretty new. I'll check my gaps and plugs. I was hoping it was just bad gas... well see after I fill up with Shell.
