No wheel hop just launched it at 6 psi, And no i didn't just drop the clutch.

Thats what i plan to do and if that doesn't work i was gonna drill and tap the shaft the stick slide hammer on it.

No slicks just these ventus rs-3s.

I'm leaning towards it being a bit defective to begin with. :hmm:

GSP does have a 60% failure rate out of box.

I guess im gonna use your name again. LOL

And see if they will even take it.

if your braking axles @ 6psi im going to go out on a limb and say that was a defective part

Not really at 6psi, 2 step builds to 6psi and as soon as i let go its pretty much spooled to 18psi on the 2.4l.

I highly doubt your making enough torque to snap the axle like that. Def seems like a defective axle especially on a 14b. I launched my fwd with 264s and a 16g at 17 psi many times and I still have the same axles 5 years later.

c'mon you guys ruining the excitement LOL

That setup of Brad's is a TQ spiking monster. 14b with a SOHC 4g64. It puts my car to shame every time and hes on 450's still....

At wastegate pressure i was burning the stock clutch in all gears except 5th, mind you this was a pretty new clutch and it still looks new sitting in the garage. :|

Got it out waiting on replacement CV. :thumb:

But your auto and awd so you should get spanked on the highway if you both have similar mods. I'm not taking anything away from his car but I'm just being realistic. The fact he is still on 450s proves the point further that it's a defective axle. Your not snapping axles at 300 ft lbs and under. I would not use that same brand axle again.

It was a defect. But the GSP ones are new, not refurb. Replacements are also new. Nothing but OEM to change to. So Brad is going to get good at changing axles in 20min or less!

This was before awd and auto swap i have his transmission now...

^^ second

My buddies awd on a 16g and 16psi snapped an axle similar to this here, he claimed his talon was a beast, and a torque monster.. I shook my head and said you do have a talon I want, if it had MY 3'' magnaflow exhaust on it, but you DO NOT have a torque monster, your driving the car with no exhaust!! :ohdamn: Its straight off the o2 housing! He simply just had a defective axle.
