i pulled out of my house today and noticed the clutch pedal sticking a little -it wouldnt "pop" back out all the way after a shift....i would have to manually put my foot under the pedal and pull it back out. so it did that on and off for a few shifts or so then stopped, i thought nothing more of it. come to about half an hour later, im driving down the road and the motor justs starts reving high in 5th gear, and i start to smell the burning smell of the clutch, i try other gears, but the result is the same, the clutch enagages, but not enough as to where my engine wont rev insanely high. So i pull over and open my hood and smoke comes billowing out from the clutch. i had to have my GSX towed to be fixed now...weeee....im just curious as to what the problem is and what could have caused this!?!?!?!?

This didnt happen to happen [clutch sticking] while you were making a left hand turn, did it? If so, you may have more than the clutch to worry about, walking motor? :(

nope....no "engine walking" it just slipped going down the road and wouldnt re engage then i started to rev really high

Sound to me like you didn't have enough hydralic pressure to disenage the clutch, maybe it disenaged half way and burnt up ur disc?
