Just wondering if anyone has gotten a aftermarket air filter ( k &N, Injen, etc) and mounted it to there stock intake pipe (obviously) but how did you support the filter after removing the stock intake box? My new filter touches the engine bay where the bolts that held down the stock box and I getting the impression its going to wear thrue the filter.

Let me know and maybe some pics.

Thanks,

Michael

my kit came with a 'L' shaped bracket that bolts from the MAS to the subframe.

Mine was purchased from a user and not a vendor so no bracket. I need to fab one. Do you have a picture or drawing of what it looks like?

Thanks,

Michael

I'm looking for the intake system for my 97 GS. I also wonder which one to buy. There are so many type of filter and intake system to choose from. The intake system mean that the product will come with the pipe, air filter, brace, mount and etc. I just wanna make sure that after I bought it I don't have to buy other parts in order to install the intake system. Anybody could help me on this. how to clean the air filter from HKS, Injen and AEM.... 'cuz the K&N are using the cleaner kits. Please help
