gsx is boost creeping after turboback exhaust install

97 gsx evo3 16g with 34mm flapper at 20psi and o2 dump from sbr creeping with new turbo back exhaust(no cat or resonator). it hits 20psi then creeps to 25psi after 4k rpm..i have a tial 38mm with punishment racing o2 housing and dump tube will that setup stop the creeping

it should help it if not fix it. just check to make sureall the parts are in good condition. my first eclipse was turbo and it creeped alittle but not as much as yours does and i replaced the same parts as you did with some better performance parts and it helped me.

It should fix it. Have you ported your turbo yet? My talon boosted to 15 and would then creep to 19 on my Big 16G. I tore the turbo apart, ported the wastegate chamber and port, and the turbine inlet. Fixed it right up. The external gate should take care of it tho. Let us know how it does.

Make sure you get it ported and fixed asap, especially if you don't have the supporting modifications for running 25+psi

no i havent ported anything but what is weird was i got my turboback exhaust done and it started creeping to 25psi...however when i bought the o2 dump from sbr the creep stopped for about 3 weeks and was holding great at 20psi..then randomly the creep came back to 25 psi...ive called a bunch of shops and they had no clue so im just gonna do the tial 38mm wastegate on the o2 housing setup but is all i need to do is taking the internal gate off and cut out the flapper?

There is no need to do that just lower the boost and port it. Your not making enough boost at first but as you progress through the gears the boost actually rises to what you have it set at.

With a quick spooling 16g???? Doesn't make sense to me.

If it was holding for like 3 weeks, then you probably developed an exhaust leak, which is causing it to creep. I had a similar issue before.

i got my tial 38mm wastegate setup for my evo 3 16g done and i went out to test drive it and the car just completely over boosts and im only half way on throttle it hits up to 30psi what can cause this and i dont have my boost controller hooked up anymore because even when i had the boost controller on and set all the way down for low boost is was still overboosing
