ok so i was looking around on craigs and found a 97 gst pretty much stock and she was interested in a trade so i put up my 98 GS my gs also being pretty much stock besides a few things here and there. the only problem is... the gst is automatic
i was wondering would the trade would be worth it down the road if i did a 5 speed swap? or if it would be too much time and money? if i did do the swap what exactly would i need? not quite sure what to do yet just looking for some outside opinions. thanks in advance guys
heres the add:
I have a 97 Eclipse Gs-t AUTO, Turbo with 143,xxx. Cold air intake, Strut bar, aftermarket headlights and tailights. Custom painted interior black and yellow with a racing steering wheel and black and yellow racing seats. I have treated this car like it's been my baby. NEVER SEEN A WINTER. The only reason I am selling it is because I'm sick of AUTO, I have to get a standard, so I am looking for $3200 or trades for 94-96 Civic, Accord, Integra, Prelude with a body kit Or may be willing to trade for another Eclipse must be 2nd generation. ***MUST BE STANDARD*** Also, it can't have that high of miles. Car does need to be inspected, will pass with no problem other then the steering wheel.

Doing the swap will cost between $500-$1000 in parts + labor if you do not do it yourself.
