Hi! This is my second thread about my european 4g63 n/a turbo conversion project link to the first one

The problem I've right now is to find some repair manual or some document that tells that the stock gs-t turbo is Garrett T25. Any ideas where to find it? Local mitsu dealer can't help since all dsms are imported from Germany. I already have one repair manual, but it tells nothing about the turbo.

I'll appreciate your help! ;)

Well the stock 2G turbo is a garret T25 for 100% certainty, did you need to know something about it?

The stock turbo is a Garrett T-25, but it is not the same as the T-25 that came on many Nissans and some Mazdas (Mazdaspeed). It has a Mitsubishi turbine housing, not a T-25 flanged housing, and I'm not aware of any other cars besides USDM 2g turbos that came with this exact turbo. Why do you want to get it anyway? To be honest, this turbo really sucks, there is a reason why people upgrade from it almost immediately on 2gs. There are a ton of better options available to you.

He needs this information so he can be placed in the same emissions category as a GST in Europe instead of the category of where a GS or RS would be. Also i would guess its so he could get his registration changed like some have done here in the states.

The 2g Eclipse wasnt manufactured with any other turbo. Look it up on Wikipedia.

well i wouldnt put a t25 on if turboing a 420a block (which i have owned before).. get a t3/t4.. And his question isnt really specific at all

he's from europe..the 420a wasn't available over there..the 2g nt was a 4g63 just n/a

he's converting it to turbo. I'm sure someone can get you some information here. Or if you have a bud in the states have them swing by a dealership and have them print something out and send it to you.

He doesn't have a 420a it is a 4g63 non turbo 2nd gen. Going by his past post he was trying to get documentation so his car can be basically classified as a GST in his country. However he needed the paper work to prove that his car was converted to the same specifications as the GST. He stated once he passed all of that he could do whatever he wanted with the car upgrade wise.

100% right. I managed to find a company here that can write me a document t25 passing the emission limits, but only if im able to show its the stock turbo.

Just an Idea.... here is the Mitsu part numbers on the "stock" turbo... for a 1995 Eclipse GST MR187909, MR187910 Manual part number and auto respectively.

With those you should be able to get a description of said part number. It should say Garret T25.

Awesome! :applause: thanks man

That info was from "alldata.com" You might find that those part numbers are superceded but its a start... Ive been researching for you in between my 16g swap and many other tasks in my project. I tried car and driver and they never even reviewed the 2g :notgood:

There isnt much out there for info. The tech site never even refers to it as a "t25" it actually calls it a "supercharger" LOL...

Hopefully if you call the right person with that info they should be able to help. Ive worked for a few dealerships and it should give a small description whnever you give them that part number. Cross your fingers for Garrett T-25

The info refers to all DSMs even the ones over seas. The ones you have with ???? are the 13g autos they are the tdo4 I believe. They came factory on the auto 1gs only the manuals had the 14b thats why your seeing a difference in part number. The 2gs however had the same turbo according to mitsu the WGA are slightly different on the autos and manuals.

I SEARCHED 4G6N its the 4g63 and it looks like its in dutch or german.. apparently they refer to it as the 4g6n????
Kolby

But the 2G info refers to 4G6N engine and TB2566 which is wrong WTF

4g6n could be 4g6n/t, have to check it out later today

actually theres no such a smiley that describes my feelings while doing this research...this is like waiting for bad s*x for the very first time LOL
