greyforest hood mod with no heat shield?

i have a forced performance exhaust manifold, so no heat shield possible (atleast without a custom one) and my car is overheating. local DSM shop checked the car out and everything is fine, i may need better fans, but that is not even a fact. since i moved to miami and its been 95+ everyday, and i dont have a heat shield to keep the engine bay temps down, i think a big reason is the radiator itself is so damn hot its not going to cool off the coolant at all. so im going to do these vents, and he agreed that its a good thing to do. i have no exhaust heat shield, so am i going to hurt anyhting while driving in the rain with vents right over the mani?

minus stuff rusting to to water inside bay no... You can also use the titek front bumper inlet they sell for the 350z, that should reduce your temps I have one on my gst and it has been working well for me... I live like an hr west of ya so I feel your pain

It depends on how much water is getting to the manifold. If water gets to it while it hot it could crack.

vent the hood and ceramic coat the manifold, also can thermal gold tape the end tanks of the radiator.

the manifold was supposedly ceramic coated when i bought it, that shits all gone though

anyopne else!?! is this gonna be an issue if i do this, atleast a big one? i know evos have vents from the factory but im gonna buy an RRE vent instead of this mod, after reading a lot about it it seems you need to have a lip to create the low pressure zone and allow air to escape, this mod wont do anything while driving!
