Greddy EGT Wiring

hey guys,
real quick question, I have a greddy egt guage and I already messed one up and I just have a question on wiring. There are three power wires, Red (12v power source), Orange(Ignition Line), and White(Parking lot line). Now I just don't know what to tap what into, and also f I can put two of the wires into the same spot, or splice them into the same power wire.

Tap red into a constant 12v+, orange to an ignition +(ie cig lighter, stereo, or fuse box) and the white to parking lights, gauge cluster lights, or dimmer switch.

hello! just an additional new question to a 4-year old thread:

does the EGT meter have some sort of 'black box' where the probe connects to before going to the gauge, similar to an electronic boost gauge which has a converter?

Yeah, if it is a peak and hold gauge.
