In my 95 Talon Turbo the other day i noticed that whenever i turn the wheel, it makes a very loud squeky sound. It sounds nasty. The car can be either off or on, but either way you turn the wheel it makes a loud squeky sound that sounds like 2 metals rubbing against each other. My dad and I took a look at it and he thinks that there are no greasable spots. We took off the front right tire (because thats where the noise was coming from) and listened all around. He says that there are no places to put grease to lube things up. Can someone help me with this I really need to know whats going on here.

it can be jsut dry bushing. not sure if that's what's your problem.

i have the problem with the front right upper control arm bushing. I just put white grease all over the bushing, but ones in a while the noise will come back.

How much would it cost around to install new ball joints in a FWD 95 Talon, anyone know the area. I know how much the joints are but would anyone have a good idea how much instalation would be around?

The top of your strut can squeak and there is a place to grease that. You'll have to take the strut out to do it. When was the last time you replaced them? It might be time...

As far as replacing your ball joints, just borrow a ball-joint press from AutoZone and it'll be dirt cheap. I did mine on a 1G in an afternoon. There isn't much you can screw up so it's a good shade-tree mechanic's job.

A balljoint press is basically a big c-clamp with some attachments for pressing parts on or off. Any parts store will know what you're talking about.

You may also want a grinder (dremmel will work) to take off any burrs that may be left. I had a few due to rust. Have fun!

Oh and struts usually run around on streets, typically attached to motor vehicles.

I did the removal of the control arms myself and paid a machine shop $30 to press out the old, in with the new, for both sides. You should do both side as they should wear at about the same rate and look into new bushings while you have the arms out.

FWIW, I did it without pulling the arms and saved a ton of hassle.
I was changing all the bushings anyway but I'm sure with the right tool, it can be done without removing the arm.
