I constantly hear about ball joint recalls, now i have come accros a problem, when i take of in 1st gear the car violontly shakes due to a bad control arm or somthing holding the front right tire. I am going to try to explain this the best that i can, the tire when accelerated it moves back and front violantly. When i give it gas on and off quik, the tire jerks and it looks like the tire moves back really quik as if its going to hit the fender then quickly goes back to normal. when stoped i can put my foot on the spoke and attempt to move it, i can jerk the tire, back. the other side doesnt do that. The other side is stiff, would any of this have to do with the recall??

Easy way to hunt down recalls is to call a dealer which deals with these cars, the service departments area is the best place to start off with and tell him you are simply checking up on some recalls. I know a friend of mine had a recall on his I think, it was a 95 or 96 Talon, in the front, something with the suspension - it was a recall and he knew about it, after awhile it broke, the whole front end of his car slam'd onto the ground, and it damaged alot of things...

Later to find out since the recalled item did this to the car - they replaced it, repainted his car, and re-done any damanaged items...

Thats my 2 cents.

Don't mess around with this recall! My tie rod separated after a month of nasty squeaking/grinding noises from steering. It happened in my '96 RS leaving me stuck half way across a railroad crossing! WTF ! :dsm: The tow truck operator knew exactly what it was.
