2G Ball joints

Ok, so I ordered and just got my ball joints in. I ordered a left and right and they are different part numbers but what's the difference? There identical.

Well I get that, in just saying there is no difference between them.

I don't have these in front of me, but isn't the shock's lower mount a tiny bit to one side?

Rock auto. Made by dormen, never had a prob with them before and 20 bucks a pop i'm not going to argue.

yeah. Well there might be some slight difference between the 2.

I would say just log on to rock auto and match up the part numbers and chech which one is meant to be for which side. there might be some minor differences that are hard to tell just by looking.

I already did that. I just wanted to know if anyone knew what the difference was that I can't see

Lay them flat and look at the cup that the ball sits in. They are angled differently.

You aren't looking in the right place. It is just a slight difference, but they are different. If they were the same part they would have the same part number.

Didn't the OP say that these were not OE (in Post #7)? What is slightly different about the OE pieces might not have been copied.

The slight difference, I believe is one tilts slightly left, the other slightly right.

OEM have left and right side also. I'm sure if you examine them for five min you'll find the difference. I am not familiar but from those pictures I'd look at the cup angle also.

Correct, the cup angle is points in the opposite direction on the 2 joints. You have to lay them flat on a table and look at them from parallel with the arm.

They both go the same way if I got the wrong part i'm gonna be pissed. They have two different part #'s, one says for left and one for right

Remove your stockers and examine them. You may be right and you did not get a left and right.

If I take it apart to find I got the wrong part i'm ####ed. My driver side joint is ready to pop out and the car is my daily.

Your pictures are not (at all) convincing to me. The bottom of the lower shock mount and the bottom of the inboard pick-up point are not flat, and you have them both tilted to the same side on the table. Pictures with one tilted each direction would be more useful. Better yet, make it so that the inboard pick-up is square to the table in both cases and then photograph the ball-joint. Then we could really see whether they are different.
