got my new dsm today

hey all!! after all the good advice i got on here, i ended up with a 90 talon tsi awd. Its got some stuff done and now i just need to know where to go from here. heres what i know it has

t3/t4 with 57 trim
660 injectors w 255 warbrol and fp rewire
apxi 3 inch down pipe and 3 inch exaust
hallman mbc
super afc 2
7bolt block with bs elim arp headstuds 4layer gaskett new wp,tb,op
38mm wastgate
greddy bov and turbo timer
fmic.

where should i go from here? should i build my t case and rear end? any advice is greatfull. Im not tryin to pull the wheels off the ground or run 9's. Just want a fast everday driver that is highway worthy for trips to kansas from wyoming. ill be buying something else to drive at the end of summer so i can park the talon for winter

Get bigger injectors and a better way to tune, and wake up that turbo.

Look up DSmap, ostrich, jackal, tunerpro, and Link for tuning options, though check to see if you have eprom and if not ECMlink can convert your non-eprom to eprom. Also Jeff at DSMchips could set you up a chip and you could use the afc for fine fine adjustments.

^ What he said. You also have to get an AFPR to control the 255 Walbro. Be sure that all maintenance is up-to-date as well. After that, you should be good to go.

Best thing you can do is search on this site and do a lot of reading before asking questions. You'll figure out the answers and what to do so you don't blow your motor. What's even better is that you'll retain the information better than having someone elses knowladge put forth and unwittingly agreeing to it wether it's right or wrong.

Search, read and learn.

Bigger injectors, better tuning, AFPR, all maintence done regardless of what previous owner said unless you have paperwork. Do a boost leak test and hope that the previous owner resurfaced the head and block since you have a MLS HG. What exactly is your so called "T3/T4" turbo. It's one or the other sir.

How do you have a 7 bolt block in a 90 TSI? And if you do, why??

yea im with dsmdeliveryboy i think u mean 6 bolt cause if not then that 7 bolt needs to get out of there cause its in the wrong territory 90 thru 92.5 is 6 bolt.

thanks everyone. im not shure why it has a 7 bolt, thats what the previous owner said it had. he said he only rebuilt what was in the car when he had it. maybe he is wrong who knows? he gave me a labtop to tune the car with but im afriad i lost everything. it turns on but the screen doesnt work, so hopefully the computer guy can get the tuning info off of it. i know i deff need to get it to a dyno shop and get it retuned. i think its plenty of car for what i want it just needs the fine tuning and tweaking. If it is a 7 bolt im deff goin to get a 6 bolt . here are some terms im not familar with...MLS HG, AFPR. Im deff on the maintance part. I changed the oil yesterday, and found a few leaks, oil pan tranny and t case. nothing else was leaking, compression test was great, plugs looked good, i do need to get a new manifold, cause this one is cracked. its not bad i just baby it and not let it see anything over 5psi. I turned my boost controler to 8 psi. im driving the car to ks in two weeks and goin to have it worked on, mostly fix the leaks and add an eletric fan so i have 2. Im even goin to put a little bigger intercooler on and new piping. im thinking about shipping my car to mach v for tunning. im trying to find a shop around here in the reginal fourm that is good with dsms. ive been reading alot and im learning alot. thanks for all the info and advice!!
