got my car back together and it wont start

so i got my car back together and it wont start. i put in a walbro 255, AFPR and a set of BC 272's. the timing is set correctly and the SAFC is wired in properly but all it does is crank. it will fire on the first revolution but after that it wont do anything. the SAFC is zeroed out. i put new BPR7ES's in it and a new O2 sensor. its getting spark, and fuel to the rail at least. BFP is set to 38psi. im leaning towards the CAS but not certain thats what is causing it. any help is appreciated.

You said you have a walboro? What's your fuel pressure set at? Is your profile up to date on mods? Check your plugs and smell your dipstick, to see if there is gas in there.. I just had that problem, changed my oil, put stock pump back in and changed plugs, and she will fire. But now I have a starter issue, if it's not one thing it's another...

base fuel pressure is set at 38psi. the plugs are brand new and i just re-gapped them to make sure they were within spec and my mods are up to date.

Did you smell your dipstick? Your getting spark...And your battery is not dead right? It's got to be something with the wiring of your AFC, or pump. I'm drawing a blank, what's the CAS?

i triple checked the wiring on the SAFC. i know the pump is working because well they dont call them a whineboro for nothing. the car is in my moms garage now which is about 20mins from my house so i cant smell the dipstick at the moment. CAS- Cam Angle Sensor. thanks for the quick responses

If you are getting spark and theres fuel at the fuel rail then you arent getting the fuel into the cylinders , fuel + spark will give you some kind of combustion atleast. Im not really familiar do 1gs have resistor packs, check up on the wiring for the injectors and make sure everything is kosher there

the wiring for the injectors has never been touched. but i stated the fuel was getting to the rail at least i know that but im not sure about into the cylinders. so i have the injectors right next to me soaking.

Go WOT and crank it. Shit like this happened to me twice. It feels like it wants to start but just can't. Just need some coaxing.

Did you give a crank with one of the spark plugs out? That way you can see if it's leaving the cylinder wet from fuel. If it doesn't and you have fuel pressure in the fuel rail then something is not activating your injectors.

now that i think about it, i took the plugs out to check for fouling, and i was curious if anything was visible and i saw the top of the piston was wet so indeed im getting fuel. but doesnt the CAS control ignition and injector timing?

Did you line up the marks on your CAS? It IS possible to put that in 180 off. There's a little wing nut like thingy on the end of your CAS that engages to the slot in the intake cam. If there isn't a slot on your intake cam, then you mixed it up with the exhaust cam and have to go back to step one.

Step two: TDC your engine (The locator pins in the cam sprockets facing up). Examine the end of the CAS; one side of the wingnut thing has a mark in it. Align it to the mark in the CAS housing. Insert CAS, start engine, and idle till warm. Shut off engine, ground timing connector, and restart engine. Set timing with a light to 5 BTDC. Tighten CAS, recheck timing, and unground timing connector.

Step three: Rejoyce!

i think my CAS is junk so im gonna grab one from a friend and see if that works
